ETA: Apparently it DOES only work for me–check the comments for more info. That’s a bummer.
Some people are having trouble posting images in the comments–I tried it and it worked for me, so hopefully it, uh, actually works, and isn’t some me-specific fluke. Here is how they need to be formatted:
<img src=” http://www.gif.com/cat.gif ” />
Just without any space between the quotation marks and the URL. I had to include the space here, or else it would try to post an image, and gif.com/cat.gif does not exist, alas.
The URL needs to end in .gif or .jpg, just like on Videogum.
Also: I changed the layout. I know this one isn’t as cute, but the comments are much more readable. (I could streamline them further by getting rid of the upvote/downvote option, but I’m assuming nobody wants that.) This one also allows for a custom header, so we miiiiight be having a custom header contest at some point in the future.
Can you see the hug??
Let me attempt:
Nope. 😦
Hug?
It keeps eating my attempts, so I’m going to go eat some pancakes and try again later.
Alright, I got this to work on another wordpress blog…
I agree on the spaced-out comments part. I like to consume all of my VG comments as scroll-lessly as possible. But other than that I love it.
But…but…gifs of my Benedict! Eh, I figure we’ve all got a bit of a learning curve here, so we’ll figure it out. I think the layout is a bit too spaced out for me, but on the plus side, it looks very neat and clean.
Here’s a WP plugin that allows commenters to post images from their computer–I’m pretty sure it’s free:

Oh, gotcha. We’ll just have to paint pictures with our words. 🙂
I was looking into hosting options, as I have a shitload of GoDaddy.com coupon codes and am bored, but I think it’d be better to see what Scott ends up doing with the site before going crazy.
