Movie Fun Time: Trailers That Reveal Nothing Edition

This week, the bigwigs at Hollywood released a couple of trailers for some highly anticipated movies.  However, if you were looking for some footage to go with those trailers, you will be sorely disappointed.

First, we have Mockingjay, based on the final book of the Hunger Games trilogy.  This will be the first of two films:

Alright, well there you have it.  To be fair, it’s actually supposed to be a “live action poster”, plus the studio released some images, including ones showing Julianne Moore as District 13 president Alma Coin, as well as an interview with Moore about the character.

Next up, we have the live action version of Cinderella, directed by Kenneth Branagh:

  1. They’re seriously making the last Hunger Games two movies? SERIOUSLY??

I’d be even more deeply skeptical about the Cinderella movie, but Cate Blanchett is playing the evil stepmother, and some of the writers at i09 got to preview some clips and said they were amazing, so, I’m conflicted.

I totally do not get why they are turning the last book into two movies. So weird.

And, I’m highly disappointed by that glass slipper. What? I’ve seen way cuter shoes.

  3. flanny says:

That Cinderella one would have been so much better with this music instead:

  6. artdorkgirl says:

Is it weird that I think that Julianne Moore looks like Meredith Viera in that hair and pic up top?

  7. old man fatima says:

What a terrible shoe. Nobody could wear that! It looks like they took a flat and just angled it at like 80 degrees and stuck a heel on.

Let’s talk about a live action fairy tale adaptation that looks like it will at least be interesting and pretty for my eyes to look at:
