Tiny Superhuman Completes Insane Obstacle Course Without Breaking A Sweat, May Be Part Lemur

So apparently there’s a show called American Ninja Warrior where people try to complete obstacle courses designed by wannabe Bond villains, and former gymnast Kacey Cantazaro, who looks like she’d fit inside your average kitchen cabinet with room to spare, nailed that sucker with all the ease of, say, me unwrapping a Klondike Bar. Which I’m going to do later. After I struggle through half of a beginner-level Zumba video.

There were about three times during that video where I had the thought, “I have never been more nervous than I am at this moment.”

  2. My favorite part was “Are you not entertained???”

Thank you for posting this. I love this show (and Kacy (call me)).

    • I’d never heard of it, but now I’m definitely going to watch! I love this kind of thing. It’s like Legends Of The Hidden Temple for grownups.

G4 used to play the original Japanese Ninja Warrior(known as Sasuke), with a ridiculously cheesy announcer, and even cheesier contestants. G4 is now the Esquire Network and no longer shows them, but they at least air reruns of American Ninja Warrior.

Also, I remember thinking that when they were going to make the US version, that the obstacles were going to be watered down. That is certainly not the case, which makes Kacy’s run even more impressive.

I appreciate that she took a moment to celebrate after each section.

I really need to start working out….

    • I did yoga last night and by the 8th chatterunga, which I never do correctly, I just sort of flopped on the ground instead of pretending like I can do a push-up.

When our society crumbles, Kacy will lead us.

  7. This reminds me of American Gladiator, which they sometimes play at the bar I go to. I do love that the announcers treat the show like an Olympic event and not a very silly looking obstacle course.

Also, she’s a gymnast. How could anyone doubt she’d do well? Gymnasts are crazy strong. Her tiny size definitely helped with the first part, I’d say.

We totally watch this show in the wallflower household. Sometimes, they give a big build-up to someone and then they fall on the very first obstacle, which is sad but sometimes makes me laugh. I thought there was no way a woman could complete the course with all the arm strength stuff, but she showed me. That salmon ladder is basically insane.

Also, Salmon Ladder is my favorite name for the obstacles, because I like to think about a really strong salmon doing it.
