Pringle Stack Ring is as Inspiring as it is Mouthwatering

On a Monday, we need all the inspiration we can get, and I don’t think I’m overstating things when I say that CrazyRussianHacker’s Pringle ring is the single most perfect testament to the potential of human achievement OF ALL TIME.

But here’s the thing. He already perfected Pringle stacking–and history tells us that we’re not going to beat the Russkies at their own game. We’ve got to take things in our own direction here. I’m talking chandeliers of Doritos. Or a Sagrada Família of Funyons. What is your snack-based triumph of the will?

Loosely based on Terry’s Chocolate Orange, I developed an idea for something I like to call the Twix Apple. Basically, you stack a bunch of Twix bars 4 x 5 and melt them together. Once they cool, you carve the Twix block into the shape of an apple. Dip the “apple” into chocolate to cover the exterior and voilà. You think you’re biting into a chocolate covered apple, but instead you’re greeted by crunchy, caramely delight.

This seems like a first year architecture student screwing around kind of project.

OMG, how did I miss this post? CrazyRussianHacker is the reason I now know I’ve been using toilet seat covers wrong for years. I especially like how he invited us to take part not only in the glory of the successful Pringle “Circle,” but also in his several failed attempts to build it. Like Edison said, “I haven’t failed; I’ve just found 10,000 ways not to stack potato chips.”
