Black-Eyed Child Roams the Heathlands, Expects Birthday Cake

It has been thirty years since she was last seen, but the Black Eyed Child is once again roaming the heathlands of Stratfforshire, England.

This report comes from Lee Brickley, paranormal investigator and author who, I’m sure, has no personal or financial interest in bringing this new eye-witness account to light. Here’s the witness’s account of what happened after she heard screams while walking with her daughter in the Birches Valley:

“We instantly started running towards the noise,” she said. [Author’s note: When you hear screams while taking a walk, definitely grab your little girl and RUN TOWARD THE SCREAMING] “We couldn’t find the child anywhere and so stopped to catch our breath.

“That’s when I turned round and saw a girl stood behind me, no more than 10 years old, with her hands over her eyes.

“It was as if she was waiting for a birthday cake. [Author’s note: WHAT?]

“I asked if she was OK and if she had been the one screaming. [Author’s note: “Hi honey, were the one making that horrific noise just now?”] She put her arms down by her side and opened her eyes.

“That’s when I saw they were completely black, no iris, no white, nothing.

“I jumped back and grabbed my daughter. When I looked again, [Author’s note: When you see an evil ghost-child, always take a second look, it’s only polite]  to confirm the child was gone. It was so strange.”

It was so strange, yes, that’s exactly the word I would choose if I heard a child’s screams then found her looking at me with her black, black eyeballs! I would think, huh, how strange! then take my daughter for ice cream so we could have a lovely discussion about it.

  1. Tao, I hope you don’t mind, but I took out your spooky photo (which I didn’t find too scary, but some people might). Everyone else, you can see it at the link. It’s not bad, just kind of big, and I didn’t want people to be scrolling through their blog feed and go GAH.

Which seems like a good rule of thumb for Month Of Scares posts: if you write about spooky stuff (and please keep doing it, it’s great!), put any really creepy photos under the cut or link to them.

So, I don’t know exactly what to make of this, but here goes…So Mr. Dork’s mom passed away in 2001 and for some reason, when I think about her, in my head she has completely black eyes. It’s creepy, and I don’t know what to do with that information.

    I too have seen her.

  4. Sota says:

Sounds like she was just HANGRY. I get that way when I want cake too.
