It’s no secret that we here at Homeless Monsters love GIFs. You could even extend that feeling to the rest of the internet. Advertising firm Ogilvy Paris knows this, and took advantage of this knowledge for their new campaign to promote Netflix’s debut in France. Digital posters across the country display brief clips of content featured in the digital streamer’s library. In addition to this, the GIF selection is dynamic, meaning it will change according to what is going on in the region. This includes time of day, weather, and current events. Weekend around the corner? How about a smiling Simon Baker to entice you to binge watch The Mentalist over the next few days? Mega sale at the local retailer? This footage of a zombie attack should make you feel right at home. With more than a petabyte of content available, they should have no problems finding the right clip for any occasion.
(Also, props to announcer man for using the hard ‘G’ when pronouncing ‘GIF’)
