Our Nightmares Might Return to the Big Screen

I am not going to read this article very closely, because it’s already very close to Halloween and thus I’m feeling very fragile, but maybe there will be an announcement very soon about a new Pee-Wee Herman something. As discussed in the “First Scary Memory” post many of us are afraid of Large Marge and still to this day have an unfathomable fear of claymation female truck drivers. This is our greatest nightmare come to terrorize us in adulthood.

Please pray of all of us who are afraid of Pee-Wee Herman projects during this time. Thank you.

About flanny

Flanny was born and raised in a Detroit suburb, but tells people she's from Detroit without clarification because it makes her sound tough. She is not tough. Her favorite member of One Direction is Louis Tomlinson, and her favorite Agatha Christie detectives are Tommy and Tuppence.

Please also pray for those of us who wore a costume to the work costume party, and arrived to realize that only like 2 other people did. Blergh. At least this means my odds to win the costume contest are REALLY high.

  2. So, I’m really trying here, but I just can’t imagine an Old Man Pee-Wee Herman movie that isn’t ultimately uncomfortable and sad.

My brother made a pretty good “instead of a bike he’ll have a Hoveround” joke on facebook, but this is the same brother who used to pretend to call up Large Marge to come get me, so I’m still mad at him.

  3. The sad thing is that that’s a really great movie, even though we were all terrified of it when we were kids. Remember how the guy with the handcuffs was arrested for taking the mattress tags off? Classic. Also all the Rube Goldberg nonsense is perfect.

Today really is the spookiest of days, as my greatest fear was realized: work potluck. Add to that the fact that we were given less than 24-hours notice for this potluck, and also that I have to go to the other office for it, which I can’t even walk to since it’s raining today. I hate potlucks so much.
