Hi guys! While I know it’s not entirely in keeping with our Month of Cheers posts this last day of the year, I thought I would offer something for us to look forward to in the coming months! The BBC adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall is coming!
I know a few of you have read the first two books, but if you haven’t and you enjoy historical dramas and books heavy enough to be used a weapons, please give them a shot! I’ve found her characterization of Thomas Cromwell to be both compelling and slightly sympathetic, despite the fact that the record on his personal life is rather slim. Also, the Tudor period is one of my favorites to read about, so I was on board from the first chapter!
For the Flanny segment of our readership (or the Homeland fans, if there are such persons among us) the six-part series stars Damian Lewis, best known for playing the greatest man from the Greatest Generation, Dick Winters, as Henry VIII. At least they finally cast a red-head in the part.
Between this and a one-off Sherlock episode, my 2015 TV schedule is starting to look good!
