What are you doing this weekend? I’m going to try very, very hard to get some writing done, which means I’ll probably end up watching a bunch of weird documentaries on Netflix.
Does that gif speed up, or have I just been watching it for too long?
It’s my first weekend without the parents here, which means it’s the first weekend I don’t have any construction work to do. The plan was to get a case of beer and a good book and spend 100% of the weekend on a beach, but now they’re calling for rain until Tuesday. I guess it will be a case of beer and a good book at home instead, which is still not bad!
Just hanging out with my cat, as usual! But today was the first day that new students could move in on campus, so I’ve been outside in the sun helping them and eating picnic food and smiling at them and watching an amazing barefoot dad with long rat tail braid wearing a Lions shirt dance to T. Swift, embarrassing his freshman daughter for one last time before letting her be free. Sadly, I don’t have a gif on that man dancing, so this 1D gif will have to do.
(Also, now the students upstairs are playing music very loud and they played the Major Lazer song FRQ put on the Summer Mix. You’re so cool and with it, FRQ!!!!)
It’s accidental coolness. I had no idea the song would become that popular.
I am going to enjoy my freedom! It’s been almost a full 24 hours since the dude texted me! And after our awkward date the other night I think we are mutually ghosting each other! Sweet relief!
This gif is everything.
I am hanging with coworkers and friends tonight, then waking up early to bike before I have to go to a wedding in the evening. I’m hoping some of Sunday will be spent alone, so I can work on all the art projects I’ve neglected all summer (it’s just been too nice out!).
I found an old man thing to do while waiting for the people to finish enjoying 1D on Sunday– I am going to the Jazz Showcase to see a very good saxamaphone player, which should end at the same time-ish if I don’t stay for the last set.
We’re taking Thomas back to college this weekend. 💔
We got invited to some petting zoo thing with other people with kids and I’m just not interested. I want to sit on my couch all weekend and power through the last of this vicodin. We have too many obligations to other people these days and I’m just really tired.
Don’t go! By the power granted to me by Boston University, I say you stay home, hold the baby, and watch Netflix! Maybe order a pizza.
Other than a birthday party tonight, I’m not sure. There are a lot of things going on this weekend and I don’t know which event to attend. Maybe it will end up be nothing. It’s a glorious time to be alive!
I just saw this on tumblr and judging from how much everyone thinks Louis Tomlinson looks like Mila Jovovich AND how much they like cats, it seems like something that would appeal to this readership.
Something new for Louis Looks Like a Snake?
Party on, monsters! I miss you guys! Hopefully by September my job will return to earth and I can hang out/comment/contribute more.
Hey that lady looks familiar! I love that movie so much.
I’m not doing anything this weekend which is soooo nice! I’m making shrimp and corn chowder right now!
After a very stressful two weeks, I’m happy to report that my India travel has finally been finalized! I leave on Wednesday, yay! I still didn’t get my raise (grrrr times a million) but the way things have been at work lately, I’m very happy to escape and do something different for a month. Here’s hoping I won’t be eating these words come next week!
This weekend I’m going to visit Mother and Father, drop off Rudy and my car there, do some laundry, etc. then drive back with my dad so he can take me to the airport on Wednesday. That means he’ll be spending Monday and Tuesday at my house, so if anyone has any suggestions of father-daughter-who-aren’t-particularly-close activities that we can do, fire away!
Oh man! Please take pics and then maybe write up a tourism for weirdos/amazing people post! I’d love to go to India (on the company dime)
Oh man, I will try! But tbh I’ve been even lazier than usual where writing-type things are concerned. (I still have a bunch of disjointed Korea trip notes lying around somewhere.) (Do you think the thing I signed promising not to engage in any journalistic exploits while in India applies to HM posting?)
Oh no…we’re just a gathering of like-minded friends. It’s like an old-fashioned social club…we gather, drink brandy, read the newspaper, grumble about the youth, and play cards.
