Yesterday’s Google Doodle Was Extremely Topical!

And today’s yesterday’s Google doodle is a little cartoon of a sweet little Mars drinking a little glass of water through a straw and I’ve never loved astronomy more.

How do we feel about our lives here on earth now that we know that there’s a little bit more of a possibility that we could rocket people we disliked into space and not have it be a 100% death sentence? Pretty good, right?

(Editor’s note: Sorry flanny, I was in meetings most of the day yesterday and didn’t see this until the end of the day)

About flanny

Flanny was born and raised in a Detroit suburb, but tells people she's from Detroit without clarification because it makes her sound tough. She is not tough. Her favorite member of One Direction is Louis Tomlinson, and her favorite Agatha Christie detectives are Tommy and Tuppence.

God I was just rewatching the end of the Tennant years and those last few specials were soooo hard to get through. Like I give Steven Moffat a lot of shit but RTD was really far up his own ass by that point.

I hear you. Smith gets a lot of flack for not being Tennant, but I’m trying desperately to introduce Mr Fatima to DW and I had to skip to the Smith years. For every Girl in the Fireplace there are 10 Love and Monsters or Gridlocks, you know? Smith’s were better written, had much better production value, and more believable villains. A Doctor is only as good as his scripts…

I think finding water on Mars is super neat. Do you think they’ll find life there?? Not green men, but bacteria? Or do you think they’ll find green men? Could this be the Definitive Evidence that Earth was terraformed by aliens using Mars as a home base, like we have always believed?

My greatest regret is that Bruno Mars picture. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
