Today’s Google Doodle is Everything We’ve Ever Dreamed Of

Thanks to our beloved Old Man Fatima, we know a lot about Lucy Maud Montgomery. But did you know her birthday is November 30th (today!)? I didn’t! But Google did! And they’re celebrating with a trio of beautiful, sweet little Google Doodles celebrating LMM’s masterpiece Anne of Green Gables. Check out all three here.

(Apologies to Gnidrah because your island is the only place in the world that is celebrating St. Andrew’s Day–which is a really great day I’m sure!–on Google. You get Nessie, though, so that’s pretty good, I guess.)

About flanny

Flanny was born and raised in a Detroit suburb, but tells people she's from Detroit without clarification because it makes her sound tough. She is not tough. Her favorite member of One Direction is Louis Tomlinson, and her favorite Agatha Christie detectives are Tommy and Tuppence.

You know, I never realized this, but between Annie and Anne, red-headed girl orphans have a tough life. Everyone thinks orphans should be boys…

Is that a photo of Fatima in her Halloween costume???
