So, How Was Your Day?

Mine was good, but I exercised too hard (who even am I???) and now my leg hurts. It’s okay, though, because I comforted myself with chicken nuggets for dinner. A dramatic reenactment:

I started taking probiotics to see if that would help my stomach troubles, and the first couple days, I thought I may have found a magical cure to all my problems because I felt great. But last night, I was really sick. It could be a coincidence – or maybe a sign that they are working? – but I’m a little nervous to proceed with them if they are going to make things worse. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews. UGH.

Wednesday is my favorite TV night of the week – new Handmaid’s Tale AND the episodes of iZombie I buy through Google Play become available. I usually save iZombie for Thursdays since more spoilery type stuff about HT comes up on Facebook.

A meeting I did not want to go to got rescheduled, and the temperature outside is lovely.

    Overall, a fine day.

Curious what brand of probiotics you’re taking. I’ve used them for a long time, and I’ve found that different brands affect me differently.

I don’t have any insights, just wanted to express my sympathies as someone who’s stomach is a neverending shitstorm.

There is A LOT of eating in the first few episodes of the new season of Master of None. It makes me very jealous that I would never be able to do that. If I went to Italy, I would be ordering plain pasta and plain vegetables. No cheese, no wine, no pizza, no gelato. Why even go to Italy?

I’m sorry you also have to deal with stomach issues.

Tonight is my big work event that I run and that I hate. Right now all the planning is done and I just need to let the evening unfold, but I don’t have the room at the country club until 2:30, so I’m just sitting here twiddling my thumbs until I can leave the office to head over there.

My cleaner came and cleaned my crappy apartment so that’s good. And I have plans to eat dinner at my favorite French restaurant that makes a duck a l’orange to die for. That and a nice glass of Bordeaux will cure me of anything. For a day, anyway.

I just ate chicken nuggets for lunch! They were McDonald’s chicken nuggets so I will probably feel like shit for the rest of the day but sometimes in life we have to make bad choices. Work has finally finally finally slowed down which is nice, but unfortunately I spilled Cherry Coke Zero all over my headphones last week so I can’t pass the time by listening to tunes. Life is hard! I need to go grocery shopping after work and then I think I’ll celebrate the warm weather by having summery cocktails.

Oh no, now I want chicken nuggets. I’m heading to the gym soon because I can do that on work from home Wednesdays, although that means putting on pants, but life is all about trade offs. I saw the Transformers guy at the gym earlier this week, which is always a thrill. This afternoon I need to get a ton of work done so I’ll just put my head down and power though.

  6. I got an offer for a job yesterday after like 6 months of being unemployed! I’m really excited to finally have something but I think it’s going to be a tough gig. However, I will have money and a reason to get up in the mornings finally so thumbs up. Now I need to go shopping because I have about three outfits that are appropriate since I am going to be working at the one place in LA where you can’t wear yoga pants to the office.
