It’s Project Club Time!

I’ve recently bought a bunch of stuff I’ve needed for a while, so my project for the next few weeks is to not spend any extra money. And somehow I once again need to go to the bank, even though I just did.

I finished all my Christmas shopping and the gifts are en route to my parents’ house so I don’t have to carry anything home with me. My brother and his wife refused to help me with gift ideas for their kids – they made me feel as if I were trying to pry the nuclear codes out of them. So in the end I ordered some National Geographic science things that look fun. I just would like to get the kids gifts they actually want, so it’s a bummer their parents won’t cooperate.

I’m pretty proud of myself for filling up the air in my tires even though my dad told me to do it weeks ago and I waited until the light went on.

My main project right now is making a big life decision about a potential opportunity and I can’t get into it publicly but I’m doing some soul searching at the moment.

My air pressure light comes on all the time. But between laziness and being generally OCD about touching things on the outside of my car, I always take it to the place where I get oil changes, and they fill the tires for me. They don’t charge me, and I try to tip them every time I go, but I don’t always have cash on me. This was a long winded way of saying – Good Job! for doing it yourself.

      • I bought a portable air compressor to keep in my trunk last year and it’s one of my all-time best purchases. There’s only one gas station near me that doesn’t charge for air, and there’s always a line there. Now I can just do it myself in my garage!

I don’t know if I see a path to profitability but I’m waiting to find out how much I’d have to invest before deciding. Unrelated, I just went to the Taylor Swift pop up store because it’s next to my office and it’s actually really fun! I got a free cookie and sparkling water, and a Roku and Taylor Swift tote bag for $10.

This is not a project, but I need to vent – My coworker keeps singing along to all the songs on her radio, and it is really annoying.

I have 37 projects on my Trello board for home related tasks (laundry, bills, cleaning my car out, errands, etc.). My goal is to get at least 10 of those done by the end of the weekend, but hopefully more.

I also have a few big projects for my side job that I hope to finish before the holidays.

And I got a new freelance gig, but luckily that can wait until after the new year.
