So, How Was Your Day?

Mine was great, because we got fancy doughnuts at work from a super trendy downtown hipster bakery. Here is the one I chose:

It had cannoli filling, and was incredible. (There were also FRENCH TOAST doughnuts, so it was a very difficult choice, but the filling prevailed.

That donut’s making me hungry. We’re heading to NYC for ridiculous reasons. The young people are seeing the sponge bob play, and husband and I are going to that Star Wars bar. I forgot my BB8 though. 😦

Oh my god, that looks amazing. I’m having dinner with friends tonight, but I just want one of those doughnuts!

I walked a few miles today, to get some air and some exercise, and to look at the posh houses with their beautiful Christmas trees, and overheard a girl telling her friend, “it’s ok though, because we’re leaving the UK”. To put this in context, she meant the EU. THESE PEOPLE WERE ALLOWED TO VOTE!

So you can see how well that walk went.

I’ve been feeling very on-edge all week so today I finally took my first Xanax and I am feeling more high than I expected. Higher? But I don’t feel like choking anybody with my bare hands for just existing within a five foot radius of me so it’s a nice change.

I never felt high from Xanax, but even the lowest dose (.25 mg) makes me SO TIRED. So I guess I was too tired to be as anxious? But I don’t take it too often anymore because of the sleepy side effect.

  4. I saw Star Wars today! I really enjoyed it except that several times during the movie I got really emotional when Carrie Fisher was onscreen because I was thinking about how she’s gone and how influential she was to so many people and how female representation is so important and how much the Star Wars movies nail it (peopleof color too) and how I can’t wait to see who my daughter idolizes (right now it’s Moana and that’s not too bad). (Sorrynotsorry run on sentence)
Also I spent a bunch of time getting ready for our drive to family Friday. We’re taking the baby and toddler on a twelve hour drive over two days. Hope we don’t all go insane!
