It’s Project Club Time!

Back to the grind once again. My only current goal is to not waste the coming weekend. I’ve got a big task to finish and I WILL finish it by Monday. No lazing around on the couch for two straight days, like I did last weekend.

I had planned on running my first 5K of the year this weekend, since there is one by my mom’s house. But I waited to register until I saw this weekend’s weather forecast, and by the time I decided there wouldn’t be a blizzard, the race was sold out! So I’m going to my mom’s anyway but now I have to run a 5K by myself! I’m going to run out and back and I just looked up how far I have to run before I can turn around and it’s so far, guys. But I have to do it.

When I get back from vacation it’s time to really start job/apartment hunting. I think I will also start packing early since last year I pulled an all-nighter before my move and still hadn’t finished when the movers arrived. Oops! I did apply for a job the other day so technically I have already begun! I already hate job searching and I’ve barely done anything.

I have decided to chop my hair off. I have very long hair and I’m going to get a something between a long pixie cut and a bob and I’m SO excited. My project is to wait patiently until I can do it (maybe next weekend, but there’s an opening this weekend if mr truck can handle the kids).
We recently cleaned out our storage closets of all the boxes that had just been left there since we moved in and replaced everything cardboard with plastic tubs (while cleaning everything out). I’m happy to say it looks gorgeous and now we know where everything is!

The only goal I’m happy about is watching Nikita on Netflix, my last source of joy in this dark world. But I just this moment turned in a big chunk of the project I’ve been slaving over so that feels good. Now I just have to survive the editing process. Oh! Pearl Jam announced two shows in Seattle this August. I had sworn off traveling for them since they left me high and dry in Raleigh, North Carolina, but seeing them in SEATTLE has long been a dream of mine. So I’m going to enter the ticket lottery and see what shakes out – then my new project will be finding airfare and planning a Pearl Jam/Frasier tour of Seattle.
