It’s Project Club Time!

Here’s last week’s post. I exercised, uh, today. It counts!

I’ve been doing a 30-day minimalism challenge I read about–on the first day, you get rid of one thing; on the second day, two things; three on the third day, etc. It’s obviously going to get more challenging as time goes on, but I have a LOT of excess crap lying around, so I’m pretty confident I’ll make it to the end.

I’m writing a short story! It’s science fiction. It is very short, yet taking days. Also, even though it’s almost done, I’m not sure what it’s about. Come on, story, get it together.

On the cleaning-the-apartment front, remember how last week I cleaned my kitchen? Yeah, well, don’t be too impressed, because the Hefty sack full of trash from that cleanup is still camped in the middle of my kitchen floor.

I plan to take it out Sunday.

So you’re going to get rid of 30 things on one day!!!??? Wow! I’ve also been purging my possessions. Last night I started on my closet and have been sorting into keep, sell, donate, trash piles. I already freed up a big spot on the closet floor by throwing out a box of shoes I’d forgotten about. “Maybe I’ll take them to a cobbler and get the soles fixed” -me, seven years ago. It feels great to get rid of things that haven’t been in use for so long.

    • I’m going to try! I’m sure it will get to the point where I’m counting the old receipts at the bottom of my purse as “things.”

I also need to purge stuff. I’m going to look into this minimalism challenge.

Maybe you have to save a mail pile for the later part of the challenge. I could easily throw away 30 pieces of mail in one day because I always have a pile of mail to sort through.

I finally finished a freelance project that has been hanging out on the back burner for months!

I have loads of work projects to do and a ton of things around the house – laundry, organizing, light cleaning, etc.

My main goals this weekend though are catching up on sleep and exercising. I have not been getting enough rest, and I’ve been flaking out on working out on the weekends. I still don’t know how I will ever get workouts in during the week, but I’m going to try because I want to be exercising at least 3 times a week for now.
