It’s Friday! Let’s Dance!

Gifs are not cooperating with me on this historic day, when the British royal family named one of their own for Flanny’s favorite member of One Direction, but please tell me about your weekend plans anyway.

Kid’s baseball game tomorrow morning, fundraising social tomorrow night (side note: These fundraising socials have become very popular. People finally figured out that instead of making your kid sell wrapping paper, you can just make a deal with a bar/restaurant and share a take of the proceeds and parents can hang out and drink and raise money at the same time.)

I just got notice that someone from my building will be coming in to inspect my smoke detector tomorrow so today I have to do a lot of work to make it look like an adult human lives here (aka the last dregs of unpacking/organizing my shit). Also I just got a couple of end tables delivered that I have to put together myself so I anticipate some drinking and building will also happen.

During one especially rainy year, my apartment manager had to come into my place constantly because of leaks and I finally just got to a place where I acknowledged to him that my place is a mess and that’s how it is because I’m incapable of anything else.

  3. I just noticed that I tagged this “grid ay dance party.” Not changing it.

So i’m in Boston on a work trip, but I had yesterday afternoon off, so I walked in to the spa at the Mandarin Hotel (pro tip: best spa in the city) and asked if I could get a facial. And I could! And it was mostly a half hour of a face/scalp massage with rose oil, which was the most relaxing thing that’s ever happened to me. Then I spent a very long time in the steam room. Every Friday should be like that.
