It’s a much-needed four day weekend for me, starting today. I’ve got big big plans for a massive apartment cleaning, evenly split up between the four days. For inspiration, I’m rewatching Band of Brothers. I don’t want Dick Winters to be disappointed in me so I better get cracking on that kitchen floor!

I have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND!!!

I really don’t have any plans yet. I have lots of projects to do, but as long as I catch up on sleep and laundry, I’ll consider it a win.

Also, this band popped up in Spotify. I love this song…

I just added this to my road trip playlist!

Please share some highlights of this playlist! Or the whole thing if you want.

Two artists I’m really into right now are Caught a Ghost and Kishi Bashi. Plus there’s a bunch of pop classics to sing along to. Spoon has its own playlist, as does Pearl Jam. Then some other playlists I grabbed from Apple music as back ups.

I checked out Caught a Ghost and Kishi Bashi on Spotify, and I like them both, so thank you for sharing!!

This time next week I’ll be in Iceland exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula! I’m kind of feeling sad about the end of my vacation that hasn’t even started yet, that’s totally normal, right?

This weekend I need to hit Target, clean, and PACK! I’m almost done with all the trip planning and map making. First I need to get through this work day, which is turning into a bit of a trial. You know those emails that you’ve been getting from any company that’s ever had you email address? The GDPR compliance stuff? Well I mentioned to my boss that we ought to make sure we’re compliant, so he acted on that, and my coworker is up in arms about the whole thing. He is so mad that we are subject to a law passed by the EU! He wants to know if we plan to monitor every law passed in every country from now on. He keeps trying to get me to be outraged and I’m like, honestly I can’t possibly care about this.

      Yay for Iceland!

This guy bitching about the EU thing sounds like he’s just itchin’ for a fight over nothing.

      • Tracey says:

I finally told him he had to find a way to get past this.

        • taoreader says:

That makes me laugh so hard. It’s what you say to someone who can’t get over a heartbreak after three years. He’s acting like this over GDPR compliance!

Totally right thing to say to him.

I’ve worked hard this week so I plan to rest hard. The pool in my building opens tomorrow, and they’re serving free hot dogs!
