How Was Your Weekend?

I was a total lazy slob on Saturday but pulled myself together and got a lot done on Sunday, which is a pretty good weekend balance.

I went to Ashley furniture per Theresa’s suggestion, and found a nice couch. It’s more expensive than the IKEA couch I liked online, but it’s still within my price range. I’m going to go see the IKEA couch in person before I make any final decisions.

I had my dental work done today. I think I mentioned this here before, but I had never had a cavity until now when they found 3. Novocaine is so weird – and those shots hurt more than I expected – but they did all the cavities (and a little stain removal) in an hour. When I first booked the appointment, they said they might have to do the work over two appointments. I’m so glad it all got done at once.

Hey dentist buddies! The numbing shots are crazy because they have epinephrine in them and it makes my heart pound and for awhile I feel like I could run through a wall or something crazy.

    • Yeah, the shots are obviously very necessary but you’ve gotta love how something meant to prevent pain hurts SO MUCH at first.

Oh, boy. I got back from vacation then had to wake up early this morning to get a root canal first thing. Vacation officially erased from existence. The next two weeks are packed with doctors and dentist visits (three each week) and it’s all pretty stressful. If anyone is wondering, though, this Costco dental insurance is working out well. I paid $500 for this root canal vs. $1200 last year without insurance!
