It’s Friday! Let’s Dance!

Just bank on me forgetting a gif from now on. What are your weekend plans? I have none and I’m very excited.

Kristen Bell officially announced that Veronica Mars is coming back!!!

I’m considering going to a concert, but it’s over an hour away. It’s one of my favorite bands, but I’ve seen them about a dozen times, so maybe I’m going to sit this one out.

My main goal this weekend is to catch up on sleep.

I don’t have any plans this weekend, which should be nice. We’ll probably watch some football and some soccer, but otherwise, just a lot of hanging out. I bet we walk to the park at some point…the kids will love it!

It is a day of nerd games tomorrow. My crew and I are trying to get back on this horse once a month like we used to be before most of us (not me) got wives and kids. Hooray! I’m in charge of organizing the game, and I think I’m going to run an RPG where they have to find a hidden evil shrine in a secret city. But that means staying up late, and I’m already tired. So. Today will end in tears. I don’t want to be in charge.

Going to an outdoor party tomorrow with a bunch of scientists. So “party” will be drinking, eating brats, and talking about lunar surfaces or whatever.

I’ve been hiding in my apartment for four days nursing a cold and my recent misanthropy. By Monday I may be ready to emerge from my cocoon, a graceful butterfly floating above all the bullshit that dragged me down last week.

For now, I’m getting very close to booking a November trip. Air China has the cheapest flights to Tokyo, with a layover in Beijing. My current plan is to stop in Beijing for 2 days for a Great Wall of China trek then continue on to Japan. Traveling alone to countries where I can’t speak the language or even read the signs is kind of terrifying but also exhilarating. If not now, when? Life is short.
