It’s Friday! Let’s Dance!

Did I forget a gif? Yes. But I didn’t forget the post! Tell me about your weekend plans. Friends are visiting from out of town so I have some fun shenanigans ahead, as long as the weather cooperates.

I have two days to finish my trip prep while dodging tons of sick people everywhere I go. I refuse to get sick right now. I have been eating broccoli every day for weeks and I’m using Airborne. Please share your prevention tips with me especially if they involve medicines I can buy at CVS because I will take any pill, no questions asked.

On I long flight I must have Afrin. It’s fantastic at reducing sinus inflammation and easing the whole breathing thing. A couple Benadryl will help you sleep on a flight too.

For staying healthy, it sounds like you’re doing as much as you can. Getting enough sleep is helpful. So is avoiding stress, but that seems impossible these days.

This week has been full of hassles and low on achievement. So long, week. Don’t let the doors of time hit you on the way out.

Over the weekend I am hoping to get a new fridge delivered, as the previous new fridge has… serious problems. I don’t want to say more than that about it. (It is full of cockroaches.)

I’m planning to drive down to Florida this weekend depending on weather. My big travel-by-myself thing is a cruise out of Orlando. I’m not half as brave as Tracey.

It’s all about the journey! Cruise sounds great. My top tip for solo travel is to sit at a restaurant bar for meals because it’s easier to strike up conversations with people — but on a cruise, everyone should be in a friendly mood and expecting to meet people!

I’m at the Dallas airport waiting for my flight to Beijing! AA really put me through the ringer last night. The check in staff weren’t familiar with the transit without visa program and denied me boarding to my flight. I had to argue for over half an hour before finally someone pulled out a binder confirming what I had been telling them. They were pissed because they wanted to punish me for arguing, but what was I gonna do, just say OK and cancel my trip? Then the flight to Dallas was delayed until 2:30 am, but at least I am on my way. Hope the juice is worth the squeeze.

Happy Thanksgiving in case I don’t see you guys before then! I’d really like to hear about what you all eat on Thursday.
