What are you WATCHING?

Last month we shared some book recommendations. Now let’s talk streaming! Studies show that 90% of millennials say they binge-watch television, for an average of five hours per sitting. A survey of me found that yeah, five hours sounds about right. (I’m cusp-millennial, and you can miss me with that “Xennial” nonsense.)

Some of us may be planning to spend the upcoming weekend/holiday in front of the television. There’s no need to point fingers or name names here. It could be any of us. But that anonymous person could use some recommendations.

As for me (a completely different person than the one discussed above), I’m currently in season two of Berlin Station. Ashley Judd is a boss bitch, and I love her in this role. This show, which airs on Epix, is about CIA agents operating in Berlin.

I just finished season three of Travelers on Netflix, and I highly recommend it. Apparently the 21st century set the future on course for disaster, so people in the future develop time travel and send people back to try to fix things. But the only way to come back is to send a consciousness into the body of an existing human, which effectively kills them.

If you haven’t seen the Good Fight on CBS All Access, stop what you’re doing and go watch it right now. You can most likely get a free trial and burn through both seasons quickly, just make sure to set a reminder to cancel before you get charged. This is the absolute best show on television most weeks and I envy anyone who has the opportunity to binge it having not seen it before.

So what the heck are you watching?

We’re watching Travelers too! Good show. We’re also watching Counterpart on Starz. It’s a Sci Fi show where each actor has a counterpart in another dimension and there’s a secret connection between the two. It’s good, but hard to follow sometimes.

  2. Ahhh, sorry for forgetting today’s post, everyone! It’s hard to be a person at the end of the year. I haven’t really been watching anything–there’s all this new stuff coming out on Netflix and I’m all, eh.

I have family in town, and Frasier reruns have been streaming A LOT!

We also watched the first episode of Homecoming, and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t paying close attention, but I don’t really care if I watch any more of it.

I saw a show called Lodge 49 pop up on a few “best of 2018” lists over on A.V. Club, and I think it’s coming to Hulu soon, so I might give it a go even though I know nothing about it?

Oh, and I have ONE MORE episode of original Law and Order, so I will be canceling YouTube TV after the Oscars. I know I skipped some episodes here and there, but I’m still going to go ahead and say that I have now seen all episodes of original Law and Order.

Hell yeah Frasier! I was watching it when I was home for Christmas. I am more unnerved by Niles’ behavior towards Daphne in Season 1 these days, despite knowing how things turn out.

That’s a huge accomplishment, all of Law & Order! Put that on your resume!
