Last month we shared some book recommendations. Now let’s talk streaming! Studies show that 90% of millennials say they binge-watch television, for an average of five hours per sitting. A survey of me found that yeah, five hours sounds about right. (I’m cusp-millennial, and you can miss me with that “Xennial” nonsense.)
Some of us may be planning to spend the upcoming weekend/holiday in front of the television. There’s no need to point fingers or name names here. It could be any of us. But that anonymous person could use some recommendations.
As for me (a completely different person than the one discussed above), I’m currently in season two of Berlin Station. Ashley Judd is a boss bitch, and I love her in this role. This show, which airs on Epix, is about CIA agents operating in Berlin.
I just finished season three of Travelers on Netflix, and I highly recommend it. Apparently the 21st century set the future on course for disaster, so people in the future develop time travel and send people back to try to fix things. But the only way to come back is to send a consciousness into the body of an existing human, which effectively kills them.
If you haven’t seen the Good Fight on CBS All Access, stop what you’re doing and go watch it right now. You can most likely get a free trial and burn through both seasons quickly, just make sure to set a reminder to cancel before you get charged. This is the absolute best show on television most weeks and I envy anyone who has the opportunity to binge it having not seen it before.
So what the heck are you watching?
