So, How Was Your Day?

Mine has been fine! It’s been a pretty quiet week.

First day back at work since Thursday… there’s only so much bed rest I can handle. (Okay, that’s true, but I hadn’t hit the limit yet. The limit is enormously high.)

I did hit a wall with my Breaking Bad viewing. Finished seasons 1 and 2 and then elected to read a book instead of moving on to season 3. Except I didn’t read a book, I read Twitter all day, which isn’t good in doses greater than 5 minutes. But there’s no wall there, there’s just endless compulsion until you feel worse and worse and, if lucky, pass out. Anyway, I did that all day, so at least I finished Twitter.

I’ll go back to Breaking Bad in a few days but oh man. It was not a feel-good show.

      Glad you’re feeling better!

I couldn’t do Breaking Bad. Really good show, but tough on the psyche.

Do you get a certificate when you finish Twitter? Can you train people to do Twitter now?

I’m at LAX on my way to San Francisco. I should have been there already but Southwest canceled my flight three hours before I was going to leave for the airport. They don’t even have the decency to tell me why. The good news is that there are adorable dogs hanging out in the airport to calm people down and they even have trading cards!

I met the pilot from my flight at the shuttle stop and it felt like seeing a teacher outside of school. He gave me a ten minute explanation on why the original flight was canceled so that made me feel better.

      • hotspur says:

Wow, ten minutes is a lot of explanation.
“Captain, why was the flight canceled — and tell me everything!”
        “Well, first the Earth cooled…”

        • Tracey says:

There was a detailed explanation of traffic flow and ATC directives and comparison to other local airports and descriptions of loads and talk of who chooses which flight to cancel and so on.

      Dogs make everything better.
