It’s Friday (Friday)

Rebecca Black’s Friday video has over 131 million views. In retrospect, this should have been a harbinger for the current era.

What’s everyone up to this weekend? I have lunch plans tomorrow and I’m going to rent a carpet cleaner from Home Depot. My 2019 apartment cleaning program is coming to a finish – maybe two weeks until I’m done. I did discover the flaw in the Task Rabbit system, though. Once you let someone into your house and hear about their woes that led them to doing tasks other people don’t want to do, it seems too cruel to leave them a bad review. Which is why the cleaner I hired has positive reviews despite the fact that she is really terrible at cleaning. Live and learn. And steer clear of Task Rabbit.

Oh man, I hate it when service providers complain about their work/lives when they’re in my home. I’m sorry that doing this thing I’m paying you to do was not in your life plan. Life sucks for everybody dude, you’re not special.

I had organizers come in yesterday in preparation for selling my condo here in Florida. They hauled out like 3/4 or my stuff to donate or trash. I had maybe six nice dresses I was going to consign for $$, but one of the women was collecting dresses for her local high school to give to girls for prom night. So I was like, just take them, let them spread some happiness.

I’ll be writing this weekend and taking walks in the lovely sunshine while worrying that selling my Florida place is the wrong decision, because all my big decisions are wrong in my mind until I’m actually done.

That was nice of you to donate the dresses! Just think how much it’ll mean to those girls whose families couldn’t afford to get a nice prom dress. (I personally was never asked to a school dance and therefore have no dresses to donate. Yes, I am having a dark Friday.)

Why did you decide to sell your place? Will you buy a new place?
