It’s (Good) Friday, Let’s Dance!

It would be Better Friday if I had today off work like most people. I only realized Easter is this weekend because there was still B-level parking available when I rolled into the office today – usually I’m relegated to C-level, or even worse, D-level. The elevator doesn’t even go down to D! So obviously I have no special plans for the weekend. How about you?

Good grief, it’s Easter? I am not paying attention.

Having lunch tomorrow with friends to sort of say goodbye since I’m selling my Florida condo. I’m listing it next week, and I’m a little sad about it, but not a lot. I like Orlando but I don’t love it here. It’s fine.

So I’ll be full-time in Maryland, but now I’m thinking–I work remotely and don’t have any real roots anywhere. I could live somewhere else if I want. So then I started thinking about where I’d actually want to live, and I don’t know! All the warm places are not necessarily the best places, culturally speaking, though there’s southern California I suppose. I’m such an east coast lady though. I could go back to Boston, but it’s expensive and cold most of the time. I have a lot of thinking to do.

    Anyways, everyone enjoy the weekend!

Most of this weekend is going to be spent working on a freelance project. I don’t have any Easter plans, which works out great since I have a lot of work to do.

Can I tell you guys a little about last weekend? We went to that big Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, and it was really fun. Lots of cool costumes and lots of droids. My favorite part of the day was seeing a guy in full costume ordering french fries in the food court.

My used bookstore is finally closing, so Friday I went and the guy said pick out any books and he just wanted to get rid of inventory so he’d give me 50% off. So I picked out $70 worth and when he totaled them up he said “How about $60 for these?” Which is not half off, I noticed! But I sighed and said sure, and then he said, “Okay, with tax that’s $66.” I’VE BEEN HAD.

I have no plans. I left the books at work in case they have bugs in them. Happy Easter.

You got hoodwinked! They’re probably not even going out of business! You should go steal some books to achieve balance in the universe.
