Spooky Happenings

It’s almost here, All Hallows’ Eve. Are you dressing up? Will you take any youngsters trick-or-treating? For me, the answer to both of the questions is a resounding “No!” I will in fact be home on my couch catching up on all the Wednesday shows.

In honor of Halloween, I thought we could all share our spooky or supernatural experiences. Have you ever seen a ghost? My boy Keanu has. I always think about the great article our favorite writer Kelly once composed on the subject. Anyhow share your stories please!

I never saw a ghost but the other day on twitter I saw good old facetaco! Also I read that my favorite local restaurant, AV, is the most haunted restaurant in Pennsylvania. So I’ll be carefully observing when I go there Friday night.

Facetaco! Man I miss our fallen comrades.

Earning the designation of “most haunted” must be pretty tough! Enjoy your ghost food!

I went to a Halloween party over the weekend. I had not been to a Halloween party in many years. I did dress up, but it wasn’t a very elaborate costume.

I always look forward to Jimmy Kimmel’s “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy” bit. I hope he does it again this year.

You guys, look at Paul Rudd dressed as Weird Al for Halloween! It’s so great!

    • Tracey says:

We just finished the Paul Rudd Netflix show last night! It was very strange but entertaining although the last episode goes quite off the rails!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the ending, but I loved the show overall. It was weird and fun and Paul Rudd was pretty great in it.

I am seeing a triple feature of monster movies tonight, but Halloween night itself, who knows. I find it very hard to plan that far in advance.

I did once live in a haunted house, a fact that has been announced in the past, so I won’t belabor it. Instead I will add a new factual tale: One year in church, which I occasionally attend, I saw several ghosts. The choir was kicking ass and they were up near the ceiling, swirling around and sparkling, very happy. Dancing, I believe. No one else showed any sign of seeing them.

Next year I will mention the time I saw a homonculus.

    • Tracey says:

How was the triple feature? Did you happen to consume any mushrooms before your haunted choir experience?

      • hotspur says:

The triple feature was a delight. So glad I went. As to mushrooms, I enjoy a nice mushroom risotto, and they’re great on a burger or steak. I don’t know why I don’t eat more mushrooms. On pizza, with onions? Yum. I don’t eat pizza too often though, which might be the single most shocking thing about adult life. The three movies were The Boogens, Slithis, and The Deadly Spawn.
