SEPTEMBER?! I hardly knew her!

Geez, what happened to August? We’re going to blink and it will be Christmas. What’s everyone up to? I got tested for coronavirus so that I could drive to visit my parents for a couple of weeks. We’ve been watching the Zac Efron Netflix show (hence the Iceland image) – I already saw it but it merits a second viewing, I recommend it. All the show locations are amazing: France, Peru, Costa Rica, Sardinia. What places are you looking forward to visiting at some point in the future?

And now what is happening to September?? It’s midway through! My big recent achievements are: I went grocery-shopping once? Well, I’m liking Lovecraft Country. I’m writing a bit. I go to a chiropractor lately, because my back got creaky.

I have a rule, which is that whenever there’s a new president, I go to Ireland. So there better be a visit to Ireland in 2021. Then it would be good to finally see Scotland and France and Prague and Rome and Japan. That is basically my wishlist; everyplace else is secondary (or I’ve already been to it). Maybe I can plot out a three-month tour. Or, more modestly, I am also looking forward to visiting restaurants again. Just… restaurants.

WELLLLLL. I have a list as long as my arms and legs all laid end to end (which is a gross thought, let’s unthink it) but firstly, I had a mini piece of good news – got a job, just a short contract but every little helps – but then the bad news – if there is another lockdown, then maybe it won’t happen? So I am living basically hour to hour at the moment. I do NOT recommend it.

The reason I mention it is that it would involve a tiny bit of travel (within the UK, plus to Ireland and France) and I would love that even more than the fact that it’s work, just to see more than my small patch of town for the first time in such a long time.

I also have another piece of news, which is that Sony Movies Christmas channel launches on 24th September, and are YOU going to stop me writing rubbish movie reviews? No you are not.
